
My Story
Kari Elizabeth is an author, journalist, and poet. Growing up, she always enjoyed the creative arts and developed a talent for creative storytelling. She is from Los Angeles and attended California State University, Northridge, where she earned her journalism degree. She self-published her first memoir, Discarded, and poetry book, A Fragile Heart. Her purpose is to connect with people on a deeper level and inspire them through her life experiences and storytelling.
Discarded is an inspirational story about a young woman’s determination and courage to overcome her childhood wounds and become the best version of herself as she overcomes life’s challenges. Growing up as an adopted child, she struggled to fit in. She went on a journey to discover who she was, gain independence, and heal herself from the painful experiences holding her stagnant. Finally breaking free, she recognizes her inner strength and is no longer Discarded.
